The answer? Probably not anytime soon.
National Church Residences, the Ohio-based company developing the center with Housing and Urban Development funding, is legally permitted to continue with construction unless the St. Louis County Planning and Zoning Commission re-zones the property, which could happen later this month, or unless a lawsuit forces them to stop, said county councilman Steve Stenger.
"For construction to stop, it has to happen through legal action, through an injuction," Stenger said. "That's the only thing that can stop actual construction."
