Town Talk – Letters to the Editor - Trash and Snow

The following are recent letters published in Town Talk in the St. Louis Suburban Journal.

>>  Trashing the Service

Attention all residents of the city of St. Louis. Since they implemented that every home homeowner has to pay an $11 a month fee for trash pickup, your trash is still only being picked up once a week. Not twice a week like it should be.

I called the city refuse department three times now and it falls on deaf ears. Contact your alderman or contact Mayor Slay’s office. Tell them how you feel about this scam going on in the refuse department.

After all, you’re paying for a service and aren’t getting the trash pickup that they promised.

>>  Plow Privilege

Here’s an observation: in south St. Louis County, the people who had County trash pickup through St. Louis County, got their streets plowed and cleaned better than people who opted out of the program.

My subdivision didn’t get there streets plowed until Saturday, after all the storm and everything else. Just an observation!
