A stretch of a busy St. Louis County roadway will bear the name of one of St. Louis’s most known businessmen. A portion of Lindbergh Boulevard, from Lemay Ferry Road to Barracksview Road, will be renamed in memory of the late Dave Sinclair. Sinclair, an icon in the automobile industry and the St. Louis Community for more than 40 years, died in September 2009.
The ceremony designating the area, “Dave Sinclair Memorial Highway,” is Friday, September 24, 2010, 11 a.m. at Dave Sinclair Ford, 7466 S. Lindbergh, St. Louis, MO.
The Missouri Legislature approved the renaming in Sinclair’s honor earlier this year. Memorial signs bearing the name will be unveiled during the ceremony and installed on Lindbergh following the ceremony.
