Are There too Many Foreigners in This Country?

It seems that a similar answer, although in Spanish, applies to the United States. Whatever happened to the “great melting pot”? It used to be that the people who came here did it legally and did their best to learn our language and customs and adopt them at least in their public lives. They wanted to be Americans. Too many of the people who come here now want all of the benefits of living in America but still want to be Mexican or whatever country they’re from. If it was so great why are you here?
People who come here now want us to learn their language and customs. We are urged to be “culturally sensitive”. Why can’t they be sensitive to our culture? They did come to OUR country voluntarily and are completely free to go back where they came from if they don’t like the treatment they receive here. The idea of the melting pot is that the chunks all blend together to form something that is better than the chunks by themselves.
We’re all descendants of immigrants, even the first American Indians came from Asia. Most of our ancestors came here legally and worked hard to fit in and contribute to the good of our country instead of just taking from it.

The silent majority in this country is letting this happen.

When do we wake up, and take back?

As long as we are actionless, we will be used and abused, until we are the minority.

Shame on us! We allow it too happen.
