 St. Louis region has third-most governments per capita in U.S.

Among the nation's 35 biggest metro areas, only two had more units of government per capita in 2007 than St. Louis.

    If this region is to sustain itself, regroup and grow, it must consolidate. We need a region wide open review and debate. Maybe RCGA or someone like it, partnered with UMSL or Wash U, conduct a full survey and review. We need full and unbiased research and resolve.
    Regional failure gets nearer every day.

    Question:
    If a Federal Judge in Virginia can rule that the Federal Government can not force individuals to purchase goods or services, then why doesn't that ruling apply here in St. Louis County, where the the County Government is mandating that individuals purchase trash service?
    Seems the same arguement applies.
