St. Louis Crime Reports Available by Neighborhood

Crime was down by nearly 8 percent in St. Louis for the first seven months of 2010, compared with the same period of 2009, statistics from the St. Louis Police Department show.

Although homicides were up by 1 percent, rape (22 percent), robbery (31 percent) and aggravated assault (13.9 percent) were all down.

For July, there were nine homicides, compared with 10 in July 2009. There were 22 rapes and 219 robberies, compared with 33 rapes and 263 robberies in 2009. Aggravated assaults were up for the month, at 395, compared with 359 in July 2009.
