Deadline For Recycle Carts Not Wanted

In February, March, and April of this year, the Saint Louis County Department of Health delivered more than 105,000 complimentary recycling carts to all one- and two-family residences in unincorporated Saint Louis County.

The department is now coordinating an exchange and removal process for residents who either don't want the complimentary cart they received or who would like a different-sized cart than the one they received.

PLEASE NOTE: THE DEADLINE FOR REQUESTING A CART EXCHANGE OR REMOVAL IS MONDAY, JUNE 30TH, 2008. NO REQUESTS RECEIVED AFTER THIS DATE CAN BE HONORED.

IN ADDITION, THERE ARE NO REMAINING 35-GALLON CARTS. NO ADDITIONAL REQUESTS FOR 35-GALLON CARTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

I have had a request in since April 15th and the damn county will not respond to my many faxes, phone calls, in person visits to south office, emails to Mr Campisi, which were forwarded to some inportant guy in Clayton!. So what good is a deadline when the county does not even respond to your request. I have a dozen to return at one location for smaller containers. What a mess! I am starting to look forward to the day when I no longer have any business interest nor live in St Louis County!

Put it on the curb along with your trash and put a note on it for the trash man telling him that it is trash and you want it hauled away since the County can't seem to pick it up! Or haul it to the landfill yourself.

I think the County really thought that no one would want to give these things back. HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
