Comments received in our mail point out that Councilman, John Campisi, will be unable to attend both meetings scheduled in South County since they are scheduled on the same date and time. Campisi is the only Council member who has been outspoken against the trash program. Councilman Campisi's district covers south county which includes two separate trash districts. Is this a coincidence . . . or did county officials, who are pressing for the program, plan it that way?
Some calls received were seeking information as to which district they may be located. While County officials have published "maps" of the trash districts, no detail description of the boundaries by exact streets and roads have been published. One such area is the boundary separating District 7 and 8.

Failure to directly contact St. Louis County, Dooley's office or your Councilperson, on either Monday or Tuesday, will be a failure to express your opinion.

Campisi, Councilman for the 6th District, requesting
that legislation to revise Subchapter V and any other
parts of the recently (December 2006) passed Waste
Management Code to provide for a referendum that
would allow the residents of each St. Louis County
Trash District to vote on whether they want to opt out
of the requirements to have St. Louis County select
their trash hauler or if they want to be included in the
Trash District and allow St. Louis County to select
their trash hauler
