County Assessor Up for Vote

L.K. “Chip” Wood, Candidate for ASSESSOR of St. Louis County is asking for your vote.

Last November, 73.85% of the votes cast by St. Louis County Voters showed their concern about how the St. Louis County Assessor’s Office handled the assessments and appeals process in the past. This is a good indication that the assessments and appeal process were unfair.

The present method of determining ASSESSMENTS by St. Louis County needs to be changed taking into account the downturn in the housing market. A recent poll was taken and the results indicated that the majority of the people polled wanted their ASSESSOR to have REAL ESTATE EXPERIENCE.

L.K. Wood has over 38 years experience in the Real Estate Profession and has been President of L.K. Wood Real Estate since 1979. Wood is familiar with how ASSESSMENTS and APPEALS have been determined and handled by St. Louis County.

In addition to managing my Real Estate Firm, Wood was Chairman of the Ethics and Professional Standards Committee of the St. Louis Board of Realtors for two terms.

Wood says he will not be controlled by Charlie Dooley and will be fair in handling your assessments and appeals. He can do a better job as the Assessor based upon 38-years of real estate experience, knowledge of how assessments are determined and as President and Manager of L .K. Wood Real Estate Company.

You should at least balance this endorsement with a short write up of Jake Zimmerman, the Democratic Candidate.

  2. The info on Mr. Wood was submitted as an article. We would be glad to post an article about Mr. Zimmerman, his opponent if one is submitted.
