County Trash Lawsuits Hearing

A summary hearing for the Citizens (Right to Vote) Vs. St. Louis County was held on Wednesday, June 16. The judge heard oral arguments from both sides from the attorneys and said that she would rule within three weeks.

I just don't see this going the way of the citizens. St. Louis County, just like the 90 or so municipalities have the right to contract out services. It seems that St. Louis County just did what most of the muni's have already done.
But, since they took ownership of the contracting effort, they should have also taken on the fee collection effort as well. This would lower fees overall and spread the costs to help the low incomes and no incomes handle the service.
Waste is as essential as sewers, water, electric, and good health and sanitation dictates it to be handled properly.

Part of the above comment states " sanitation dictates it to be handled properly". This is true but it should be left up to the people (professionals) that know how to do it & have been doing it for years, NOT these GOV. loonies! Even the ones (GOV.) that claim they are a "specialist" in this area - oh really?????? Where did they haul trash & for whom?
