County Urges Use of Recommended Hauler

From St. Louis County:

St. Louis County believes that the health, safe and welfare of your area will be best served if you are served by the hauler that the County selected as the lowest responsible bidder. Therefore, St. Louis County recommends that you use this hauler. However, if you have a contract with another hauler that is licensed by the County, you will not be in violation of County ordinances.

I am fumming along with 5 other residents on Rainford Ct - we received nothing from IESI nor the county to inform us that they would not be picking up our trash!
So as the trash sets in front of five
homes - IESI says they cannot pick up
unless the board of TRustees contacts them and it has to be for the entire subdivison (odd, the subdivision opted out so we all thought we had to do nothing!! We will find someone else to pick up our trash even if it is one man a truck and pay what ever it takes to get this done!
Terrible communication on the county's part and the existing trash hauler we where using!

This is the biggest mess I have ever seen. I had a feeling this was going to happen when all of this started and I was the Chairperson of our subdivision. I went to the trash district meetings where they said they would prosecute anyone who didn't participate unless you opted out of the plan. Of course, the plan was always changing. It was a moving tarket. It was very difficult for the Board to know what to tell our residents and put a lot of responsibility on us. We took a vote and the majority of our subdivison wanted to opt out so that is what we did.

I have had American Eagle Waste, Ind. as our hauler for many years and our subdivision has had them for three years. They are wonderful and the owner, Bryan Barcom, has really helped me deal with the mess the county has put us through. I would encourage anyone who is looking for an excellent trash hauler to give them a call at 314-631-8381.

I am very happy that we opted out of the trash district plan and stayed with American Eagle Waste, Ind. and did not really have to worry about what the county did.
