Recycling At $2 Per Month?

If you aren’t recycling yet, start. You can deliver your sorted recyclables to drop-off sites at no cost, but if that isn’t an option for you, fear not.

In the St. Louis area, the company Earth Circle will pick up your recycling weekly for around $100 a year—under $2 a week—and you don’t even have to sort it. Most communities have similar programs or companies. But remember that number 6 plastics aren’t accepted. Check out the recycling program online for information and tips. That's the good news. The bad news is that action taken by the County Council in setting up their recycling and trash collection probram may prohibit you from using this service. Is this legal? Many don't think so and are expressing this at the Council's meetings held every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
